• Nothing to wear

    Notice anything new?

I’ve got short hair! For once, this wasn’t something I’d planned weeks in advance. It wasn’t something I’d consulted several friends about beforehand. It wasn’t even something I’d given serious thought to. In fact, it was booked on a Saturday morning whim. All I had to do was roll out of bed.
Turns out, I’m not as precious about my hair as I thought I would be. Since I never actually did much with my long hair – it mostly just sat as a matted knot  that took forever to brush, wash and dry – I figured I didn’t really need it. And now my hair feels a lot healthier, fresher and lighter. I can still plait, ponytail, pin it up and curl it. Except now, I’ll have way more time to watch Netflix, hurrah!
I haven’t styled it here, so I look a bit like an edgy version of Mowgli from the Jungle Book. But trust me, I’ll be trying new styles all week to see what I can do with it.

    “Nothing to wear”

After my blissful hour in Toni & Guy, I picked up something new to wear. I’ve had my eye on this New Look jumper for a while – and once I saw it was 20% off, I couldn’t resist.  Even though I spend way too much time stuffing my clothes rail with new goodies (a friend saw a photo of my room recently and asked “is that a clothes shop?”) I sometimes feel like I have nothing to wear. Next time I think that, I’ll just don this jumper. Problem solved!
I didn’t feel like dressing up today, so I donned my new leather style jacket, a pair of old Topshop jeans and a slightly battered pair of ankle boots. The jacket is a new favourite. I ordered from Oh My Love, which is one of my favourite online shops, and I couldn’t wait for it to arrive. Bring on the Spring, so I can swap my wool coat for this cool little number.
I don’t usually dress this casually, but lately I’ve been changing things up a bit. I wonder what’ll be next!?
