• Extreme blogging

I had my first taste of extreme blogging this weekend, tackling strong winds and driving rain while scaling a steep hill in heels with my blogging pal Sanya. Hopefully the pictures were worth it…

I was very glad I hadn’t put more effort into my appearance when I stepped outside and found that within seconds my somewhat tamed hair had become a tangled mess and my face, which was once pleasantly highlighted and blushered, returned to it’s natural ghostly pallor – with a hint of Rudolph’s red nose.
Sanya and I have dubbed ourselves ‘extreme bloggers’, as we fought our way up Bournemouth’s East Cliff in a howling gale (I’m barely exaggerating, guys) and marvelled at the turbulent seas below. ‘It looks like the end of the world’ Sanya remarked. I had to agree.

But it was all for a good cause as we managed to get some rather lovely photos! And you can barely tell it had started drizzling – or that it was so chilly I started to lose feeling in my fingers. A trip to Starbucks soon remedied all of that!

I was also pretty pleased to finally get a snap of my favourite day dress – a £15 bargain from ASOS! I’ve loved star print dresses since I first laid eyes on Alexa Chung about a decade ago, and this beauty is fantastically versatile – heels and red lipsticks? It’s fancy. Boots and messy hair? It’s casual-cool. Sartorial versatility is very important to me – I’m forever running out of clothes due to my sluttish approach to laundry.

    What I wore…

Coat – New Look (similar) | Dress – ASOS | Boots – New Look

In true English form, I used my world-wide platform as a place to whine about the weather. D’oh! What have you been up to on this rather unpleasant day? Or has it been utterly lovely where you are?

Thanks for the gorgeous snaps, Sanya! x

Love the combo between the pink coat and the star dress! Definitely getting that dress, looks fab! 🙂 We had some sunshine here in North Yorkshire, but the wind was an absolute pest! Must admit, even though slightly premature, I'm definitely ready for summer now! 🙂

Thanks lovely lady! The dress is such a steal, it'd be rude not to! 😊
I'm glad you've been getting a bit of sun up there, I'm still waiting! Summer might be a bit optimistic, but I'd at least like a little bit of spring sunshine and a few blooms to cheer me up xx

Thanks Nicole! I'm amazed my hair didn't resemble a haystack by the time we started taking them!
